November 5-7 OV Storms

Recommended Posts

SPC has a marginal risk for severe weather extending into southwest Ohio. The trough is going to take a negative tilt overnight with extremely strong wind fields, so it won't take much for strong winds to transfer down. Additionally, with such a strong cold front and upper 50/lower 60 dew points present, a strongly forced low-topped squall may be possible.

Sounding near Louisville is definitely a low-topped squall sounding with spinup tornadoes possible

With the expected strong winds and saturated soils throughout much of the area, I’m glad the leave canopy is reduced.

Though we're out of the marginal risk, you can bet on strong winds regardless thanks to the rapidly deepening low. Fun stuff.

This thing has blossomed big time during the day, some very heavy rains looks to be heading your way for tonight, would worry more about locally severe flooding.

Numerous power outages across N OH, including yours truly.

Buying a generator was probably the best purchase I ever made.
