Up to 2.25"

Been in meetings all morning. I measured 1.25" around 11:30am. Not sure if I posted here or not.

Snow has let up for the moment and changed over to sleet again. Been going back and forth all morning.

Bwi pinging with rain as well dca over to rain iad holding on so that makes think we may miss this just a little but will know in about 2 hours. Stay safe i need a drink

Mustang - ugh! I still have memories of trying to drive the SVO I had back in '86 - even a bit of rain gave me problems

Yup, Dumbass me took my Camaro to the train station this morning. Should be an interesting drive home at 6pm with those 20" summer tires. Ughhh

HUUUGGEEE flakes now and the rates are just as wicked.

Honestly? This reminds me so much of Oct 2011 - minus Thundersnow (for now)

I am under the same band in Lebanon right now.  Under 1/4 mile visibility.  My temp also dropped now to 27 with a DP of 25

It looks like Mt holly was kind of reluctant to upgrade to a winter storm warning... perhaps the old insurance trick?

Solid 5 inches here in Northern VA. COLD here. Every so often it changes to sleet for about 5 minutes and then back to snow. Seems like we have 6 in the bag and way more if it keeps up. Radar makes it look like we are locked into the cold.

Orinatation of the band looks like it runs southeast to northwest, I suspect that you'll hit the white stuff somewhere around Stockholm.

Finally saw a plow truck on my street. They came through with salt earlier. What a mess. Glad I work from home.

Back to just snow here after some brief sleet mixing in.  Close to 4" on the back deck.  Bigger flakes.  Roads horrible

Welcome to the forums, sounds like precipitation intensity is determining your p-type.

Lighter rates are being melted whereas higher rates are punching through the warm layer.

What the....?!

NWS Sterling just upgraded Loudoun County to a WSW?!

The change-over to rain has already occurred for nearly the entire county! One of the strangest things I've EVER seen.

edit: Maybe it was earlier but I didn't get the notification - looks like that was the only county they actually changed from their primary / original forecast though.

They upgraded Loudoun earlier this morning.  Big chunks of the county are still well below freezing and snowing still.
