00Z ECMWF much more wintry for the region with this event.

This run pummels interior eastern NY, and then VT and NH.

12Z GFS now agrees with the ECMWF, and has a pretty hefty winter storm for the interior. Perhaps even for Boston.

Widespread snow for the Northeast.

If things continue like this, by the time January arrives, @MaineJay, there will be only whiteness everywhere in Maine.

00Z ECMWF hints at a pretty sizeable snow storm for the interior Northeast, especially for central and eastern NY state, and then for VT, NH, and Maine.

GYX

The last 4 paragraphs only get us through Sunday. The progressive
upper level pattern continues into next week as the next wave moving
around the upper level trough will push low pressure into the
region late Monday night into Tuesday. Here again the trend over
time has been to keep this storm further offshore which would
put our area more into a snow than rain scenario as low
pressure tracks through the gulf of Maine. With plenty of wiggle
room left in the low track have kept it straight rain/snow for
this system. There is plenty of moisture with this storm with
solid snow accumulations possible if we can stay on the cold
side.

Looks like a solid double digit snowfall in the 23/0z, doesn't bring warm air into the coastal plain of Maine this go round.  So far, the two storms this month have had surprisingly dry and fluffy snow, kinda remarkable seeing it's November still. If over a foot fell at PWM, it could be the snowiest Nov ever, with records back to 1871.

Nope, we'll have to get the old search party together, head up and get our owed steaks and @PA road DAWG place (for his 2" of snowfall) then head north and watch @MaineJay shovel his roof and drink all his beer.

The local ski resort by my (mt. creek) has been blowing snow non stop the past few days, hopefully the 2" of rain forecasted for our area doesn't wash all the work away.

"Shotgun"!

Last trip up, I was forced to sit in the back and when RT didn't want to hear anymore about my LR winter forecast, he would turn the radio up and only pretend to be listening.

We'll need to find MJ first; he might be buried under a small glacier by then.
