A potent system moving along a Trinidad A configuration is going to be quite the storm.

Per the 00z guidance, I'm going to keep a close eye on this bugger. I'll be driving home Sunday night from St. Louis.

Not going to be a fun drive from STL to CoMO Sunday night. Yes...WWA is what I'll drive through, but those winds are going to cause whiteout conditions with the little snow that falls.

Nice to see somebody else get the first blizzard of the year.  Be safe!

Why is nobody talking more about this on here? Is it because it's not happening in their backyard? Just curious

One county to my west has the Blizzard Warning. My forecast from LSX has 46mph winds. At least I'm coming home from the East!

We don't have that many members in the Plains/MW as the Ohio Valley. The_Wish_Casting_Monkey

My daughter just sent me this picture of pea sized hail and I've been upgraded to a Blizzard Warning.

Too south for me for any OBS.

But out here in the boonies we’re used to not getting attention during the winter.  Could be an ice storm turning into a blizzard within a few hours with 2 feet of snow and 60 mph winds after the ice and nationally it would be “slight chance of drizzle in Atlanta, be careful during rush hour traffic.  Oh and it’s snowing in the plains.  Back to you Fred, how are your weekend plans looking?”

Current look at MODOT. I-29 closed in 3 spots. Purple is 'covered' roads.
