I tend to think the other way.  I almost rather have a system suddenly show up a couple of days before it is supposed to hit rather than the high chance of a particular precip type hitting one's area.  Of course, as a learning experience, watching potential systems are worthwhile.

These over-running events, in my opinion, are the best chances for snow for your region as well as MidAtl/NE. With Euro and GFS and CMC all signaling the potential - we need some cooperation from the Pac (to slow that hot jet stream push and allow the cold from the N, to come into play)

Here's to hoping the snow lovers, far and wide, get theirs. :classic_smile:

Early 18z GFS would appear that this will be south of 12z. HP is dropping south into the northern plains instead of east through Canada on the 12z.
