Heavy snow with huge flakes here. Always a plus to be just above the mix zone until it gets here of course :classic_laugh:. Looks like a good 4-5" has fallen. I gotta drive in this mess to work in a few hours .

Looking at the street lights it appears to snowing lightly. Not sure if there is any mixing in it or not

Pretty impressive 80 pages and almost 2000 post for are first major event on the new forums!

I love it. I’m so glad this forum is here. I’ll admit I was nervous when the announcement of accuweather forums closing down. I was also hesitant with the announcement of this forum I just didn’t think everyone would migrate but they did.

3" here - temp down to 28.9 & snow is back to being dry and fluffy, so probably some okay ratios the rest of the way.

Going to be a race against the clock to whether we get some of that main band or not. Seeing some indications on radar of some dry air, hard to know if that's just driven by sunset though

I think the reason for the high returns are the monster flakes that are coming down right now. Any light sleet that was coming down has pretty much gone away. I’m up to 4.75” IMBY, up 3/4” from an hour and a half ago.

Temp has risen to 34 😂😂😂 so it won’t accumulate on the roads but hopefully add to the snow pack.

It's shocking because it's not true. I saw that report, too. Somebody effed up, believe me, nowhere near 6.4" here.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. We will need it to get up this way in order to hit the 4-5" range. Looks like it is holding together on radar. Just need the dreaded transfer to hold off for a few hours.

Yes I don’t know if it’s mixing here or not but looking at the streetlights it look to be coming down at a decent clip.

It's back to snow/sleet in NKY (Florence) now.

Agree very much. The returns to our SW and into Central KY look awesome. If this keeps up, another couple of inches overnight should be easy.

For the first time since November 16th(yes you read that right), we have the ground completely covered here. Went out and measured 1" even on the grass. People in the metro aren't  being careful.  13ABC said there's been 30 accidents in the last couple of hours alone.

I’m hoping the stuff slides up this way. Maybe we can squeak out another inch or 2 tonight.
