Can still be a pattern change and be cold rain- those things aren’t mutually exclusive. The pattern change more or less relates to the path storms take - not if one is getting snow. Certainly looks like a pattern change but to your point we’ve all been burned before

The particular discussion I had in mind when I posted that has repeatedly indicated "cold and snow". And given their fan base, I can see how it will play out for said site if the snow doesn't materialze lol

Strong cold air mass in Canada...definitely could push the front further south...but as with any strong system, strom could push further north, especially if that cold front isn't as potent. Plenty of time to work out the details. As you said...will take it for now.

Welp that's it. The Canadian is playing on it's own turf with that High so it must be the correct model (said no one ever...wait, what...someone respectable actually said that??????)

Someone .. ok .. many ... on here say it’s not good to be in the bullseye this far out .. so I’m banking on an i95 special DC to Boston with this one and westward along PA/NY line to include Pard and Clapper then southwestard to include Supertyphoon and then Nova Scotia to nail Shane O Mac .. lol did I miss anyone?

I love weather and these forums so it doesn’t matter if I’m not jack potted .. just so as long as there’s big storms to track! Plenty of winter and early spring left for surprises

I hear ya on that, but I check the EPS and GFS last hour total snowfall at least for one run a day and haven't seen more than a few inches except for NNE and LES areas in weeks.

I feel if this storm were to trend anywhere from here, it would be towards the coast. The cold and Canadian high will be a fighting force to push south/east.
