I thought the same for last weekend's storm, and look how that panned out for us. But yeah, something tells me that was just an outlier. 

There's a running joke in my family  that we always get something on or right around my birthday (31st). We've gotten a lot of good thumpers around then, so maybe this one will pan out.

So, you are thinking this slide south if anywhere?  Not questioning that thinking at all, just curious.  With this being a clipper type system and a LOT of cold coming into the midwest and OV that makes logical sense.  Of course weather has no logic, so let the model mayhem continue.

Well for one thing, certainly seems pretty juicy for a clipper.  Usually they're 2-4 / 3-5 jobs.
