Crazy, not often you see lake effect from Erie reach here!

The impact of this storm was huge,30 cm in most places around the GTA,that`s as much snow as we average for all of December, the winter as whole still sucks but this definitely made up for a good check of Dec.

It certainly made up for our snow deficit so far this season. Over half the average snowfall reached here now and the largest storm in almost 6 years.

Too bad this wasn't last winter as we had far better conditions for it. Still awesome nonetheless.

@BurlyWx are you winter48 from the accuweather forums?

No I was snowblower.  I think winter48 was from Burlington as well though.

Picked up another 3cm this afternoon, bringing the total to 18cm. Snow drifts are the biggest issue. Many plowed roads are getting covered again. I remember drifting was pretty bad following the January 6, 2014 storm too. When it is so cold and windy behind it you run into some issues.

cars stuck all over the place here still...hopefully all the side roads get plowed.

In other news, check out the snow totals coming to the Tug Hill Plateau across Lake Ontario over the next 3 days.... 250cm!!!!

Total whiteout conditions now here in south Burlington. Winds howling and snowing sideways under this Erie lake effect!

over 5cm here today from the Lake Erie squall...some areas SW of Hamilton got close to 10cm.  What a winter wonderland today was.  Blowing and blizzard-like conditions off and on all day.

SE Niagara region must be getting smoked.

33.4cm of snow from this clipper. 2nd biggest snowstorm of my life behind the 37-40cm dump back on Feb 8, 2013.

ended with a 2-day total of 29cm here.  I was really hoping we'd hit 30!  Would have made it two 30+ cm storms in 10 days.  Unheard of around these parts.

Still, no complaints.  It's pure winter out there!

The bad news is we have a huge warm up to deal with in early FEB,the good news is all guidance shows a return to wintry like conditions soon after the warm up probably around the 7th.
