THURSDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Illinois, east central Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

Bursts of snow blown by strong winds will linger this evening,
reducing visibility at times. Slippery travel is also possible as
residual moisture freezes.

Wind chills will drop to 10 to 15 degrees below zero by later
tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

A period of bitterly cold weather is likely midweek, with lowest
wind chills of 25 to 45 degrees below zero expected Tuesday night
through Thursday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated through tonight.

...WIND CHILL WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM TUESDAY TO NOON CST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as
  low as 30 to 40 below zero expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central and west central
  Illinois.

* WHEN...From 9 PM Tuesday to noon CST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The dangerously cold wind chills could
  cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Chill Warning means the combination of very cold air and
the wind will create dangerously low wind chill values. Frostbite
can occur quickly and even hypothermia or death if precautions
are not taken.
