Dreaming of you think that pinkish white through PA and BWI DCA will happen since BWI and DCA haven’t received much snow and currently the future storms look to be rain. Or are suppressed south as some models show. Will be interesting one thing for sure the farm land is saturated and we need a reprieve.

Winter Storm Warnings expanded in southern PA for up to a half inch of ice.  Yikes

Im starting to get that unsettling feeling that a ice storm is looming, fyi not naming the co, but they're not prepared as no one has said nada about a potential storm, so for those who know me, gather a few supplies and extra water, make a plan.

As MJ has stated above, strong upper level winds (sw @ 45kt) are going to warm the 850's, I think that the air is going to be more juicy this time around, cold low level air is locked & capped in and will be held firm with the coastal developing off de coast, I'm hoping a big sleet storm but my gut here is freezing rain east central pa up through NNJ, north of rt78 to the ny state boarder.

1/2" accretion is where things become critical and limbs start breaking, 3/4" accretion becomes a geographical emergency.

I really like this. It´s a good post.

Should be mostly a sleet storm for many, but there´s the snow at the beginning of the storm and then there´s the ice after the sleet as the storm nears its end before a bit of rain comes in. The ice part may indeed be very problematic, especially if it holds on longer and part of the ending rain is instead converted to ice.

See the first storm of the year.    He isn’t making the mistake of being under prepared again

I understand, but he's been brining the roads each day since. I woke up a few days ago thinking there was a storm I had missed but it ended up being a layer of salt for a fog storm. Lol

I’m getting the feeling this front end thump has a little more punch to it than previously thought.  Area of moderate snow moving into Montgomery and Bucks counties in PA.

Same old, same old here. Good radar returns, but a temp of 33F and Dew Point of 22F tells you all you need to know about what I actually see outside.

It is, but I’m in Bethlehem just east of Allentown and nothing’s falling yet.

It's very politically charged and in this climate, that leads to trouble.

What a difference a few degrees over the day makes. When I left Downtown Pittsburgh at 8:15, it was 36 there and much of the snow was melted outside of piles. Come 5 miles northwest where it's 33 according to my car and 90% of the snow is still here. Highly doubt it will be there with all of the rain when I wake up tomorrow.

Picking up on warmer air aloft? I remember seeing MaineJay share a NWS discussion from out his way saying the air aloft was trending warmer on models.

They're beginning to realize that screaming Pacific flow.

The newest NAM just cut totals in northern PA, Upstate NY, and Southern New England again. NAM does seem more extreme with the low snowfall totals compared to other models though.
