February 10th-11th Winter Storm

Staff Recommended Posts

Things are looking more interesting in terms of the freezing rain potential. From CLE.

Quote

.SHORT TERM /SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT/... A warm front will be approaching Sunday night with a wintry mix of precipitation possible. It will most likely start out as snow but appears that it should transition to some freezing rain across the south by midnight Sunday night. The freezing rain potential will drift northward through the day on Monday but will remain over the region into Monday night. This isnt typical for the freezing rain potential to persist this long over the area but the setup this time with strong high pressure to our north may end up being enough to keep cold air at the surface as the moisture flows up over it. So this may end up being a more significant icing event than what is typical. Stay tuned for more details over the next 24-36 hours.

This event “runs into” the Feb 11-13th event.

Yeah rain now comes quickly on the heels of what falls here. Unfortunately now down to just hours.

Same general consensus. This whole week is going to annoy me, though, with the cool downs and warmups and slop in-between.

CLE forecast area. Increased amounts from yesterday PM. SREFs have been increasing slightly across N OH as well, generally around 2”+.

Got some snow falling from the sky atm. Might be some other precipitation mixed in. And I see we’re under a WWA didn’t know that. I would enjoy a dusting.

Well this is a surprise. Pouring snow here in west central Morgan County. How long it will last until changes to rain? But will enjoy it as it falls while I work in it definitely better than working in the rain. The Jeep thermometer said  25 degrees when I just went to check, with a high of 35 later, might do this for a while here I hope :)

Well if it's only going to last on the ground a half day, at least it's in the middle of the day on a Sunday to enjoy it
