Wildfires

Staff Recommended Posts

Seeing as the fires in California are significant, I thought I'd start the topic. I'm also testing a 750x750 pixel, 5.7MB gif.

Most of California is covered in smoke.

Man, I knew they were burning down the rainforest in South America, but had never really looked at the scale.

This is just Bolivia, but if you pan around, its mind numbing.  Every red dot is a fire, and there's one that looks like sure the inferno that blew up today.

Note that the yellowish lights that show up near the end are cities.

I saw some satellite pics  while back that blew my mind. They really did away with the rainforest/jungle. Not just a media scare that stuff is for real.
