Need Member Help: NWS Products

Staff Recommended Posts

Not exactingly what this forum was intended for but might as well...

I need a full list of NWS products or a link to if possible. The NWS products page is too cluttered and has lots that I don't need or want, and no time to look through. Something more definitive maybe? I have been adding them bit by bit since the site started and now its gotten to the point of unorganized and incomplete so it needs attention badly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Ordered list:

Advisories

Watches

Warnings

Emergencies

Statements

Notices

Misc

Correct, there are no more blizzard watches. If you click on the blizzard watch you see this.

I was under the impression that they did cancel that. It makes no sense to have a blizzard watch when there´s a raging snowstorm.

https://www.weather.gov/help-map Updated February 11, 2019.

Blizzard Watch is still there at #98, Blizzard Warning is #22

At the bottom of the simplification link it says to email Gary Garnet if you have additional questions so I emailed him this at 11:31pm this evening:

nwscle@noaa.gov

Attention Gary Garnet | Blizzard Watches?

Hi,

If Blizzard Watch was being removed from the Hazards List on October 1, 2017 | Winter Hazard Simplification why is it still listed as #98 on the Weather.gov Help - Hazards Map  that was updated on February 11, 2019?

Thank you for your time,

Steve

Obviously I'll let you know his / the reply.

Thanks for the rep PM!

I've been checking the Hazards Map since I sent the email, #98 Blizzard Watch is still there.

From the 'I'm not going to hold my breath' department.

It's been three weeks since sending in my question; There has been no return email and #98 Blizzard Watch is still on the list.
