I feel the MET made a call based on multiple factors (gut included). That being said, he's making a call based on years on studying and training. His "gut" is based on experience. Hard to discount his thoughts, even if it is gut based, as being a good MET seems to require experienced gut checks and not just hugging models.... I will no longer say "Gut" the entire year.lol

Good info. Very helpful to have some insight of variables to look out for as the 12z unfolds. Thank you!

It will snow when it wants. I dont think many of us are happy with winter so far, but I dont think any of us should have the doomsday outlook just yet. I learned from you guys on accu sometime ago not to live and die by models (at least ones that are over 72 hours out.)

Let us not forget Falcon fans who thought their halftime lead was in the bag! LOL
  8. With the cool down, it certainly feels like we are strapped in to our seats on the winter coaster and the air brakes have just released from the tracks. Wonder if this will be one of those nascar ones, where you accelerate at crazy speed and flatten out or.... The anticipation type where we chug upwards for what seems like forever until all of the sudden we go "oh S$%t" and BAM! Or even the dreaded dumbo roller coaster that never really gets goin.I tried too hard lol

    Site Information for Members

I think for real time storm tracking the feature you mention about members linking in their own station is BAD A$$....That would allow for real time following/ timing predictions "downstream" and could become quite addictive, fun, and useful.

    August 11-15, 2018 | Severe Flooding

OBS: This is just from July, we had one that dump over 4 additional inches on the 4th of August I think it was. Plus a couple of smaller localized events in the last couple days. The ground here in Frederick CO. is extremely saturated. Rivers and creeks will rise if we see any of this around 9th/ 10th. Anyone have a paddle? Edit: still playing with features and getting comfortable. My overlay didnt come out as planned but nearly all of Frederick CO. is under the 10-15in range. I promise I'll do better
