2.2 Quake Near Reading PA...

At 1:11pm Friday July 19, 2019 there was an earthquake approximately 8miles from Reading: USGS

  • 2.0 km depth

This afternoon the U.S. Geological Survey website confirmed a 2.2 magnitude earthquake occurred at 1:11 p.m. in Berks County, originating in Bern Township near Blue Marsh, about 2 miles west of the Spring Ridge development in Spring Township.
County emergency officials have received numerous calls regarding  tremors in western Berks.

People have reported hearing a boom and feeling the earth shake at about 1:20 p.m.

For as close as the earthquake was to the Blue Marsh Dam I have not heard of any damage to it.

You're right Lynnie, give that lady a Kewpie doll!

Actually there were four at various times in the past ten months, you might mean the one near Wernersville three months ago.

Spring Ridge had this one and another ten months ago. Then one near Wernersville (North Heidelsburg) that this article mentions and one in River View Park.

Yep @Cignus, I was remembering the Wernersville quake. I thought they had another one up there last year, didn't realize they had four!
